About Maven Benefits Partners

We are employee benefits professionals with decades of experience in the benefits consulting and healthcare industries. Maven Benefits Partners was founded on the belief that small and mid-size employers want and appreciate an extremely high level of customer service, and this core value makes us unique.

Eric Putsch, Nancy Dougherty, and Heather Heinlein established Maven Benefits Partners on January 1, 2008. Eric, Nancy and Heather started working together in 1998 at The Boothby Group (sold to VIST then Tompkins). Maven Benefits is an independent “boutique” employee benefits consulting and service firm.

We founded our service model on the premise that a small, talented, and motivated organization can outperform larger firms by creating a high touch, highly personal client experience. The difference is in the details. Fast forward to 2019 and our theory holds true, even with the added challenges of a complex economy, technology innovations and healthcare reform.

We operate under the principle that a “lean and mean” company on a mission is most effective. To quote Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
